2. How SmartSec Academy Uses Cookies
We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising, cross-site advertising profiles, data resale, or unrelated marketing.
The SmartSec Academy website and training platform do not currently include a dedicated analytics or advertising pixel.

3. Cookie Consent Management
SmartSec Academy uses Cookiebot to manage consent preferences for non-essential technologies on public pages.
Visitors can accept, reject, or adjust non-essential preferences through the cookie banner or the Cookie Settings control.
Essential authentication and security technologies may operate where required for account login, access control, fraud prevention, or abuse prevention and are not dependent on optional consent.
Consent preferences can be changed or withdrawn through Cookie Settings when Cookiebot is authorised for the active domain.
4. Types of Cookies and Similar Technologies
4.1 Strictly Necessary Technologies
These technologies support functions that cannot reasonably operate without them. Blocking them in the browser may prevent account access or other platform functions.

4.2 Functional and Service-Delivery Technologies
Cloudflare Stream and other embedded service components may use browser storage, cookies, requests, or identifiers needed to deliver video and maintain playback reliability. These technologies are not used by SmartSec Academy to build cross-site advertising profiles.
When you choose light or dark mode, the website saves your display preference in local storage on that browser. This preference is not linked to your account or used for tracking. You can change it using the theme control or reset it by clearing website storage in your browser.

4.3 Analytics and Advertising
The SmartSec Academy website and training platform do not currently include a dedicated analytics platform, advertising pixel, or marketing tracker. This policy and the Cookiebot declaration will be updated if such a service is introduced.
4.4 Third-Party Services
Memberstack, Cloudflare, Cookiebot, and embedded service components may set cookies or use similar technologies according to their role and configuration.
A link to an external website, including YouTube or Stripe-hosted checkout, is not itself a tracker on the SmartSec Academy page. The destination service applies its own terms and privacy information after a visitor follows the link.
